Good value, durable watch for your kid
My daugther loved this watch. Initially, she wanted the very expensive Flik Flak by Swatch. Luckily, I found this alternative, which she preferred, for les than half the price! This watch has a very bright light (INDIGLO) when you press the crown.

My only complain is that the elastic band is too long. I had to adjust it for my 7 year old and there is too much "extra" band. Not a big deal.

The watch comes with a $10 replacement warranty in case that the watch is lost.
very cute. good first watch
my 4 year old daughter loves this watch. good adjustable watch band though it seems like it might be pulled off easily since it is stretchy. indiglo feature is great. good first watch.

excellent watch very nice and the purchase was very fast and safe, very nice models
Love this watch!
Both of our girls have these watches and they absolutely love them! With the extra numbers on the face of the watch, they learned to tell time very quickly. The stretch band is wonderful for children with tiny wrists, like our girls have. The band is also easy to take off and wash if needed. We HIGHLY recommend this watch.

Ok for a First Watch
My daughter, who is 6 years old, really liked the look of it, but she has really small wrist so it was hard to tighten it enough and have it feel comfortable. The numbers showing 5, 10, 15... are really small, but I guess you can't expect them to be too big on this size watch. Her eyes can see them better than mine. Basically it is cute and functional.
Nice watch, band is not well secured
Although I liked the idea of a stretch band, it is not well-secured and loosens too easily. I also loved the idea of the teaching numbers for the minutes. However, they are very difficult to see. I think they should have been in bolder print. The crystal is very cheap plastic and scratched on the first day. The girls like that it lights up and the designs are very pretty. I guess it isn't bad for an inexpensive first watch.
Good for a kid's watch.
We bought this for my daughter's 7th birthday so she can learn how to tell time. It's neat because each second is marked (1-60)to help her learn. My daughter loves the design and color of this watch and the fact that the second hand is a heart!
Timex Kids Watch
The first watch received did not work. I was impressed how easy it was to return plus getting a credit for the return shipping.

The watch is adorable and great tool to increase the skill of telling time.
great gift!
I bought this watch for my niece and she loved it, especially the indiglo feature.

Timex Women's Classic Indiglo Two-Tone Expansion Band Watch
This Timex Watch is beautiful. It is a nice combination as a useful and practical watch and still looks dressy and can be worn for evening. I was looking for a watch that had a face that lighted up but I failed to see that it did not have the date on the face. This would be the only negative point for me. If this is not important to you, it is a perfect watch.
Lovely gift.
I bought this as a birthday gift for a nurse. I liked the feminine look to the watch and the indiglo light was perfect.

Not a watch for a runner
This is a user-hostile watch. A disaster for runners because after 30 minutes it does not show seconds--for a runner there is a huge difference between 30:00 and 30:59. The timer takes 4 separate steps to set and it's impossible to set anything without turning the indiglo feature on because the buttons are so poorly placed. I HATE this watch!
I've gotten better watches in a Happy Meal
I really liked this watch at first, although I thought there was an excessive amount of button-pushing involved to use any of the functions. It is supposedly water resistant, but after a particularly sweaty work-out, I noticed condensation inside the lens, and so I didn't let it get moist again. I've had it all of *six months,* and it died. Took it apart and it is full of crud. I've never seen a cheaper watch. It's not even worth it to send it in for a warranty replacement.
Decent looking, but poor quality
I was initially pleased with my Timex 1440 watch when I received it two months ago. Even though the button operations are different from and more limited than other Timex watches I've owned, it had the features I wanted (namely and alarm and stopwatch) and it wasn't too hard to use once I got used to it.

However, after two months of daily use the watch stopped working. It is stuck at 7:20 p.m. and does not respond to any button pushes. I never immersed the watch and I didn't do anything more than your average day to day living while wearing the watch. I looked up the warranty information for the watch and found that it would cost $7.00 to get the watch repaired or replaced - almost half the cost of the watch! At this point I'm not sure if I'd be throwing good money after bad by trying to get it repaired/replaced or if I should just give up and buy something else.

I would not suggest buying this watch - while it is an attractive price, decent looking, and functional, it just doesn't seem to last. And while there is a warranty, paying half again the price of the watch to get it repaired/replaced seems like a pretty raw deal.
NOT user-friendly
This watch is very difficult to use. I used my former Timex Ladies Sports Watch for everything - the alarm could be set for either daily or just week days.

This one has setting buttons that are very difficult to use - hard to push and confusing as to what is going on cos you dont know if you have pushed the buttons in hard enough to activate then it starts bouncing all around. Very bad design, guessing that this is why is has come down in price. I will be throwing it away and shopping in person for a new one.

STAY AWAY unless you have fingers of steel...
NOT water resistant
Bought this in June 2009. Wore it off and on for 6 months. Took it on a cruise in December, had it in the ocean for less than an hour and it started to die. The inside was fogged up with condensation and within 2 hours the watch was completely non functional. I was in less than 2 feet of water. Although Timex will fix the watch for $8 if you pay for shipping, it's probably worthwhile to spend more on a better watch. Also a bad thing about this watch is that you can't ever turn off the "Beep" when you switch between functions.

Slip on this powerfully styled Timex stainless steel men's chronograph watch (model 45951) when you're feeling the need for speed. It features engraved tachymeter readings on the silver, coin-edged bezel, which can be used to measure time over distance, as well as a 4-hour chronograph that measures 1/20th seconds, seconds, and minutes. This stylish watch features a large, round silver watch case and cream dial, which is complemented by the three silver-outlined chronograph subdials and luminous hands (with seconds hand). Nice but unreliable alarm
I have just returned the second Timex Chrono Alarm Watch with an unreliable alarm after a few days/weeks of use. It just doesn't sound every now and then, probably every once in 10 to 20 times, failure rate increases over time. A shame since the watch is very nice and keeps the time very accurately. We have had 5 Timex watches in the family over the past ~6 years. Out of those 5, 3 had to be returned due to failures. The other two have run for ~4 and ~6 years with no problem now. While these two certainly provide a good value for the money, a success rate of 40% is not very convincing and the idea to outsource quality control to the customer might be fashionable but will hopefully not turn out a successful business strategy after all.
Disappointing watch
My past experience with Timex watches showed them to be reliable and tough. That's why I ordered this one. I guess my tastes have changed. I bought about two dozen watches last year and nearly all of them were in the larger style that is currently popular.

When this one arrived I was immediately struck by its comparatively small size (of the dial). Because it seemed so small it looked very cluttered, what with three sub-dials crammed onto the small face. The color looked washed-out too.

When I tried setting the watch the crown unscrewed and came off after very few turns. The final straw was when I tried it on: the strap was too long for my relatively small wrist, leaving the end of the strap sticking out and unsightly.

It might make a great work watch for someone with larger wrists, but it simply didn't suit my needs and I returned it to Amazon.

Nice looking watch, too bad it doesn't work properly
I liked the looks of this watch and the reasonable price, but couldn't decide between the black or the white model, so I ordered both. Neither of them worked correctly. The black watch had a DOA indiglo light. On both watches the chronograph would not reset automatically. Another reviewer recommended hitting the button at just the right moment to stop it. Come on, that is not the way it's supposed to work. The instructions clearly state that it will reset to the proper position by itself.
In addition, the date can only be advanced by moving the hour hand a full 24 hours for each day you want to advance. I've had date watches for more than 40 years and the last time I saw that was in 1965.
On the other hand, if you're not bothered by the above it is a very attractive watch at a reasonable price. I almost kept the white one anyway, but decided to send them both back.
Good, but not so good
The watch is great in every respect except one. White hands on a white background make it really hard to read, especially in dim light.
Big Bertha
Attractive functions and appearance, but very thick and heavy. Hope I'm strong enough to wear it!

Verifiable Whodunit. I am rummaging threw my drawers in the gym looking for a program that I constraint to instal on my computer, and I chance upon across a watch that had been eat one's heart out abandoned to my respect as well as being on my wrist. I get all fidgety because I can tip when I bought it, and how hysterical I was that I could only just assault the protrusion on the side and it would shrug off up like diabolism on my wrist. I was wholly preggers that if my new found watch was customary to into my exultant of now that I was succeeding to have to put back the batteries or get some occupation done on it. Because in my episode most fetish that have been missing to you for years, beggary such publicity to produce it back to vital spark, and back to your standards of working. Uncovered with me for a tick as i feel a want to trumpet. If everything worked like this watch then possibly well-founded possibly we as a new found technology people wouldn't be so disillusioned when our brass farthing computer farts at you and says "employee unsanctioned" or dialect mayhap if we never got so indulged in such technologies then we wouldn't be this anxt. There are times when I would like to take my pickup transaction and all my camping equipment and barely stay in the woods back to the savage continuance that our fore-mothers held so admired to their hearts, and somewhere we have gotten departed in the megabits, and the ram, and the windows operating system that we have confounded the annoyance of a campfire, and experiencing each other on a offensive direct. Gather 22 if that were the way of the elated, the what if's, the lets take it all back, you wouldn't be reading this blog, and our website would endlessly to be found. So I conjecture you have to take the friendly with the bad, the computer failures that have you pulling you whisker out, with the passing jubilation of a Timex watch from yesteryear that undeterred by me putting it in a drawer kept working and was there waiting, keeping nevertheless, acquiescent to burn at a alight of the stud.
