I bought this watch as a birthday gift. Within 4 days, the pin that sets the time came completely out of the watch. I took it to my local Tag repair place and they wanted to charge me $185 to repair it. Be warned, if you buy this watch from Amazon, apparently Tag doesn't honor the warranty. You can only get it repaired under the Amazon warranty. I didn't know this and spent $185 to fix a $600 watch. A complete waste of money. I was concerned about buying an item like this from Amazon. I wish I had listened to my instincts and gone to a brick and mortar store.

nice watch, good price, two problems; hour and second hand too narrow,difficult to see in dark or when they are in the same position, insufficent applications of
"light" on hands and face for it to be easily read at

Very happy with this watch. Saw it at an airport and felt then it was right choice. I have small wrist which make it a bit slidey on me but otherwise it's fine. I wonder if i can change to the black strap.

I bought the Tag Formula 1 from Amazon, has serial numbers and came with a 2 year warranty from Amazon. the price was 540 and i paid $8 for two day shipping. WatchMaxx and Jomastore had the same watch for about $100 more. the watch came on time with all correct box and materials from TAG.

I love the watch. has good weight to it. I coach so it is fine for hitting baseballs or to wear while coaching football. I was going to get an Omega Speedmaster but have decided to wait and purchased the Tag as an everyday watch. If you need something for everyday and are very active i would say grab this watch, even at $650 it is totally worth it. When i had a link taken out from my local jewelry store I got several comments on it and noticed they had the same watch for $1100.

I received a Tag Heuer Carerra 2 1/2 years ago as a Father's Day gift. Over the last 8-12 months each of the crowns (there are 3) fell off. The last one missing now renders the watch unusable. Took it to Tourneau for repair who say they send it to Tag for service. The estimate is $800!!! The watch was $2500. I have been unable to contact Tag Heuer to discuss this with them. No email provided and 800 number leads to a circular phone tree. The prompt for customer care just rings with no answer. This is terrible customer service and terrible product care. Be warned if you're cconsidering a Tag Heuer product.

The clock is beautiful but him encontre a small detail underneath the crystal, a mark and in amazon have not helped me to be able to solve the subject with the clock.
they say that already after the month nothing can be done, I to me I only request another new clock.

The watch and the pricetag: 5-stars. However, the fact that Amazon threw it in a box along with a couple of airbags was a huge shock and disappointment. When UPS presented me a box crushed on all corners - with the watchbox rattling loosely inside - I knew it was trouble. The fact that TAG Heuer protected the watch deep within a thick watchbox was the only reason I accepted the delivery. So, Amazon shipping and handling: Zero-stars

This is my first Tag and I've owned the watch for about 5 months now. It's a wonderful timepiece and suits my style since I'm relatively young and don't need a dressy watch. I do have a few complaints about the watch but they are trivial to many people. First, the second hand is sometimes obstructed from view by the minute and/or hour hands. This is bothersome when I'm checking pulse and respirations. Second, I wish that I had an option for the blue face like you see on the Aquaracer. And lastly, this isn't an automatic watch.

I was a bit nervous that I could save $400 via Amazon over what I had seen the product listed for in the store. I gave my local chain the option to match or beat the price and they would think nothing of it. Oh well, their loss in today's economy. Have always had good luck with Amazon over the years and felt good about the warranty they offered with the watch. Would be skeptcal of other on-line retailers. The watch shipped 2 days prior to the date they stated and I received it today. 6 days from time order was placed to time I received package. That is with free shipping. Was pleased with Amazons packaging and Tag's packaging but it would appear UPS did not necessarily handle with care. Prior boxes from Amazon have had little or no damage. This box looked as if it had been drop kicked. So far, I am happy with the product and this purchase. Hopefully, it will not stop tomorrow. More watch than what I needed but looks sharp and saved $400. I'm ok with that.

The look and feel of this watch are great, but the one I purchased was a mechanical wreck and needed service immediately after I bought it. The date changed every 36 to 48 hours and was horrifically inconsistent, among other things.

It's a *VERY BAD SIGN* when a company like Tag Heuer allows a watch to leave their factory in such bad mechanical condition. People who don't care about the mechanics of a watch can go buy a fake Rolex, but for those of you who do care about such things, think twice before purchasing this watch.

I can't claim to be a connoisseur of fine watches but I'm very impressed by this Tag. My first Tag was actually a fake given to me by a friend, which died shortly after being taken waterskiing. This new watch is certainly of better quality and feels like it is built for water sports. I feel very confident that this Formula 1 could survive just about anything thrown at it.

The one thing that really surprised me is how well it fits. I have small wrists and had to remove a number of links in order to find an appropriate length. I was concerned that it may appear too large since I'm accustomed to wearing smaller Bulovas and the like. Such fears were unfounded; in fact, I believe it would look good on all but the smallest of wrists. Just stop by a fine jewelry store to try it on, though you may have a heart attack after seeing how much they're asking for the same watch. I think Macy's had a sticker listing it at $1,200.

Another surprise was just how classy the red background is. I wanted a watch of superior quality, which is why I chose a Tag, and also wanted something that would stand out a little, which is why I chose the red one. My plan was to wear it strictly on the motorcycle or while skiing. That plan was destroyed when I tried it on with a suit. The Formula 1 did not clash with what I was wearing at all. I think I am much happier with this color than anything else I could've gotten (white and black just seems boring now). I'll admit it's flashy and that's what drew me towards it. Even so, most people will have few regrets getting this.

Other than the one reviewer who had an unfortunate run-in with a defective watch, the Tag Heuer name speaks for itself. The chain is solid without being too hefty, the sapphire crystal seems un-damageable, and the styling is subtle but still noticeable. The chronometer feature is very cool and will, hopefully, impress anyone who takes the time to pay attention to it. I am more than happy with the Formula 1 from Amazon and will never buy another cheap watch again.

This is the first Tag I have purchased, and I absolutely love it. I picked this up as a casual piece. I wear it in uniform (USAF) to meetings/gatherings, and out to bars/parties as well. To people with an eye for watches, it is always nice to get a compliment. It's a rare thing now though, since everybody checks the time with cell phones now! The only down side to this watch, is the 40mm size. I'm a big guy, and I'm used to my 48mm Citizen Skyhawk, so it is definitely a noticeable difference when I wear the Tag. All in all, I'm VERY glad I bought this watch, it's a good piece to start a nice collection. No regrets on buying this, and I hope you enjoy yours!

I got this watch as a gift April 2007 on the weekend of the Malaysian Grand Prix. Never owning a watch at this price range before, I was a bit apprehensive about wearing it out and about, but today, I wear it nearly every day. The quality and craftsmanship is superb, the watch (especially the watchface) is pretty durable against scratches and bumps. Not that I would want to scuff it up, but it's held up well. I like the overall look...the red, silver, and black is pretty bold. I've gone in the water with it, and I've used the stopwatch on occassion too...after all, it is a sportswatch.:) For those that don't know, this watch was worn by 2-time Formula One champion Fernando Alonso of McLaren Mercedes. His teammate (well, former teammate if you've read the news lately) rookie Lewis Hamilton wore the orange-faced version. If you want to own a sporty timepiece with connections to Formula One, and are willing to spend it, I'd strongly recommend this watch.

The watch came in a beautiful box ..Tag Heuer are known for their sturdy and precise time keeping and I can attest to both. I have brushed the watch against a few hard surfaces( yeah painful!) but the glass on the dial has remained scratch free. and the time keeping is extremely precise.. Make sure that if you are changing the dates on this watch that the crown is in locked down position after you are done with changing the date.. A perfect watch and one that I shall cherish for a long time.. waiting for the formula 1 season to begin!

Absolutely great watch. It showed up on time and was exactly as described- genuine and brand new.

So this is a $600-$700 watch, and for the price, it's amazing. I just bought one today, and I was with a buddy sporting a $5000 Cartier watch, and he was totally impressed. I'm not a guy who wants to wear that much cash on my wrist. Can't comment on durability.

I bought this TAG model without first seeing one. I had read some mixed reviews about this particular model and was a little apprehensive about buying an entry level TAG. But once it arrived I was immediately impressed with the quality of the watch. The bracelet and case is very well made , the fit/finish excellent. I like the satin finish of the bracelet and case. The engraved "TAG Heuer" logo on the side of the case is something that really stands out. The hands and markers are easy to read against the red dial. I can't comment on the durability since I've only had the watch a few days , but my first impression is very positive.

This watch is a solid chunk of steel that gives you accurate time and date. The brightness of the hour marks and the hour and minute hands are not that strong in the dark.

This TAG watch is FAKE..BEWARE BUYER!!!! Got one of these as a gift for my husband but after 60 days the watch won't work and the hour/minute hands faded and corroded..When I return it for refund, well they took from me a $153.80 as a partial REFUND DEDUCTION or shall we say a restocking fee(RIP OFFFFF)which is I think way more higher than the cost of the FAKE WATCH THEY SENT...called up amazon and complain about it in which in the end they gave me the full refund (thanks goodness my money wasn't wasted for nothing)....well, learned my lesson then !!! never buy discounted watch from AMAZON and buy directly to the authorized dealers!!!!!!

The watch was just what I wanted. I reseached many sites and felt Amazon presented the best value and would, and did, support the customer in the event of a problem. I own another TAG watch and wanted to add to my collection. As I was adjusting time and date I was not able to adjust the date function. I had absolutely no technical issues with my other TAG which is 10 yrs old. I was disappointed to have to return a TAG watch for a technical issue. Of course this would never have happened with a jewerler and it's just the risk one has when ordering on-line for significant less money. The return process was relatively painless but lengthy. Amazon only issues credit versus just swapping out for another identical watch. I had to get a refund then repurchase the same model.

This watch is great for automotive racing drivers and fans. The split time functions are just awesome. I am not sure if I made the right choice on the rubber band though. Tag Heuer states in the owner's manual that prolonged users should choose a metallic band over the rubber. I just preferred the sportier look of the rubber. People should also know that the large red sweeping second hand is part of the stop watch functions not constantly sweeping as part of the time keeping function. The smaller red second hand is the constant sweeping time keeper. So the large red second hand stays idle at 12 o'clock when stop watch functions are not in use. That just proves however that sport/racing comes first with this watch. Lastly the box is almost as impressive as the watch. Remove the watch "pillow" and it's a great place to store your watch when not wearing it.

This is a nice sport watch.

I had a tag heuer formula one for 5 years and I can say that it is a very good watch, never had a problem with it, I only changed its battery one time. I almost cry when someone stole me this watch.

All the Tag heuer watches are good machines, you will not have any problem with these.

How do I start?, Well, I must say I love watches, I'm not a rich person but I have a collection of some watches like Swatch, Seiko, Stuhrling (some of them bought from Amazon); so I decided to buy a luxury watch this time, I mean a really "luxury" watch. I was thinking in a Rolex, maybe a used one, but then I went to a jewerly and watched all the watches: Rolex, Omega, Tissot, Cartier and so. They were all very good looking watches but for some reason they were old very classic looking (made for an older person like my dad as I'm only 23), often looking gold or silver. Then I went to the Tag Heuer section, without knowing too much about the brand, and like a thunder from the sky I immediately fell in love with all those watches, they were so fashion, inspired in beautiful cars, the colors, the form, beautiful, there's no comparision with the picture you see in Amazon and having the real watch in your hand like I did in that jewerly. Also I watched an add in that jewerly where president Obama also uses this watches. After falling in love with this watch and realizing that one of my favorite persons (Obama) also likes this watches I decided to buy this watch, had a lot of problems with my dad to get the money (borrow some from mom, asked for my birthday gift earlier than expected :)
but finally he agreed and I bought it from Amazon. I bought the model with the rubber black strap because I'm so bored with the omnipresent common silver strap/band. Also the strap goes perfect with the black dial and bezel color! They're made for each other.
After some days of impatience I received the watch, packed in a huge box (it is a very expensive delicate piece), opened the Amazon box and after digging in the protecting bubbles I found a beautiful box, with the Tag Heuer logo printed above, every border of the box is sewed, every detail of the box is just perfect, this guys payed so much attention even to small details. I opened the box and found a leather case for the instructions guide (man, a wonderful leather case just for the instructions manual!), the instruction manual is perfectly written in many languages (my other watch has a manual but the other languages are just "computer translations"), well, this is not the case, I speak english, spanish and some german and I checked the spanish translation and is greatly done. This guys didn't miss a single detail. A single ortographic mistake in the manuals, Wow!
After opening the smaller box there is the watch: beautiful, it has a wonderful unidirectional bezel that moves very softly but accurately and makes a clicking sound when you move it, the case is also wonderful with Tag Heuer printed on one side, but the dial gets the first prize, so wonderfully planned, even the date is placed lower so you can see it when it's 3 o'clock. I have delicately unscrewed the crown and it's so smooth, unbelievable, you move the crown counter-clockwise and the date changes very-very slowly unlike any of my other watches. The same with the hour, it moves so slowly, so fine...
The chrono is perfect, I mean "perfect", when the 1/10 second marker stops at half second 1/10, the red second hand stops just in the middle of one second and the next one. Wow, that's precission, I've never seen this details in other watches.
Forget to mention that the crown is also beautifully designed with the Tag logo, and that the chrono buttons make a smooth pleasant click sound when you press them...
Overall guys, this watch looks beautiful in my wrist, I LOVE the black color (it combines perfectly with my black car, my black iPhone hehehe), the strap is beautiful with a big TAG HEUER logo printed so everyone can see you have ONE.
I really recommend this watch, in a regular jewerly it costs more than 1,200 $ so Amazon's price is really a bargain for such a beauty!
