Large Face Watch
Watch looks lovely on website, and in fact, it is quite nice. However, I opted to reutrn the watch because the face is extremely large, and I am extremely small. It is much too overprowering for my wrist, but I think a woman who enjoys wearing lsrge jelewry would like this.
Looks Cheap
I got this watch hoping it would be classy, but was quite dismayed when it arrived. It really is huge. A lot larger than expected. But more importantly, it looks cheap and the "diamonds" don't even seem real. I am stuck with the watch because I had to take the wrapping off to try it on and actually see the details of the watch. So I am stuck with something that I hate.

In other words, DO NOT BUY THIS WATCH!
Huge watch, teeny diamonds...
Got this watch for a Christmas present after debating between it and the similar Bulova watch (whihc sells on amazon for about 2.5x the price of this one). I decided to go with the Invicta after reading the reviews. I had gone to a department store and tried on the Bulova and was expecting a very similar watch to arrive under my tree. The watch face is much bigger than the Bulova, and the diamonds are so tiny they're barely visable - they should have just put some CZ's on it. My familty thought there must have been a mistake because surely it was a men's watch, but it wasn't. I was really disappointed, and am sending the watch back and going with the Bulova. The Bulova is also big, but much better proportioned, and the diamonds are visible! Definitely worth the extra cash.
Extremely bulky - beware!!
I bought this watch. It looks good but is extremely bulky - very thick and huge - it got shipped back to where it came from
It's HUGE!
It's HUGE - Compliment for men in the bedroom, not a great description for a women's watch... this thing could kill someone if you swung it at her/him. Had to return it because it literally weighed my wrist down. Lovely design but my god! I need to tell time with this thing, not defend myself in a dark alley. Maybe they should market it as a weapon/watch? Consider it returned.

No what it seems
I was so disappointed in this invicta. it was flimsy and alamost looked fake.
Another Awesome Invicta Watch!
What a beauty! People think that I paid over a grand for it. It blows away anything in its price range for sure.
I bought the Corduba diamond skull watch last year and I received many compliments for it. This definitely won't be my last Invicta.

Two Tones of Fashion Excellence
I purchased the two tone model # 4742 because I wear both gold and silver jewelry. I was intrigued with the design and even though on my monitor it looked good in person it is awesome. I own over 75 Invicta's and for dress this puppy truly rocks. The Mother of Pearl face with gold sub dials is a class act; throw in Swiss movement, all stainless steel, Diamonds in the bezel and you have a time piece that makes a statement. The Swiss ISA movement is incredibly smooth and accurate. I would have preferred a push button clasp; the snap out duel deployant is still good and functional. I feel confident wearing this watch anywhere because it is 10 ATM'S water resistance. This by no means is just another fair weather dress watch.
perfect watch for the price!
hi folks!

The Old Switcheroo---shame on Amazon!
The item that was pictured and described is not what I received from Amazon, and I purchased this watch from Amazon, LLC, not someone else selling their wares through Amazon. I expect better. Apparently, Invicta changed their standards at some point during production of this model, because what is pictured and described is a Model #5058 with a sapphire crystal (which one can see printed clearly on the back of the case when you zoom in on the picture), and it shows that the face reads "water resistant 50 meters." The watch I received, besides being in an inexplicably worn box with a torn watch cushion, has "flame fusion crystal" printed on the back of the watch, and in another mystifying change, instead of saying "water resistant 50 meters" on the face, it has bright blue letters that say "Angel."

These might not seem like a big deal to some people, but if you know watches, or even if you just read Amazon's own watch education, you know that sapphire crystals are the hardest and most desireable. The sapphire crystal was a key factor in my decision to buy this watch. No one even knows what "flame fusion" means because Invicta won't tell, and the very fact of their secrecy about it makes one deeply suspicious. As for "Angel" being printed on the face, someone else might find this charming, but I find it somehow very cheesy, particularly since "Angel" is not even part of the model name or any other such thing. Invicta has other watches called Angels, but since when is the 5058 an Angel? Where does it say that anywhere? And what was the point of this production change? It makes me wonder what else is different inside the watch. And why would I care? Because I want to receive what I was offered and paid for, and I expect Amazon to be meticulous about that, particularly when this was something sent out under their name. And what's the deal with the beat-up box? This was supposed to be a new watch, not a refurbished or used model. Why is the watch cushion torn and the interior of the box dingy as though it had been handled by dirty fingers? I'm very disappointed.
Overall too big
I'm sending this back even though we got it during a sale for under $90.00. The band itself is very large..8 inches I believe. I have a large wrist and all my other watches are too tight. This one is way too big and I can't even figure out how to make it smaller. The main reason this is going back is because the face of the watch is very large. It looks like a man's watch. Not attractive at all. It was on a big discount sale for a reason.
Not quite Roman Numerals
In case you care, check out the 4 on the watch -- strangely enough, it isn't a Roman Numeral while the rest are ...

This makes me question the rest of the quality. I didn't order it and don't plan to.
Ladies Wildflower watch
I am rather disappointed with the size of the watch - it doesn't seem to be very feminine due to the size of face and strap.
Great deal, BUT . . .
If I had not purchased this watch on a "Gold Box" deal, I probably would have returned it. And if I had actually seen and held the watch before I ordered, I would not have ordered it no matter how good the deal was (if it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!). For the price and the hassle of returning, I decided to keep it. The watch is very heavy, the face is quite large (easy to read if you have eye problems, however!) and there are 12 (not 16 as stated) tiny, tiny diamonds with a lot of raised bumps around the face so that you can hardly tell the diamonds from the bumps. I had to have the maximum number of links removed to make it wearable. The retail for this watch is nearly $700 - I cannot imagine anyone thinking it was worth even half that amount. It appears to be well constructed but time will tell on that. I usually buy Citizen or Seiko timepieces - after this Invicta, I will probably stick with my old tried and true brands in the future.

Madeleine Albright: Read My Pins

Posted by adminOct 09, 2009COMMENTS

More than 200 pins are displayed at the Museum of Arts and Design in New York through Jan. 31 in an exhibition titled "Read My Pins: The Madeleine Albright Collection." The show will travel through 2010 to the William J. Clinton Presidential Library in Little Rock, Ark., as well as to venues in Washington, D.C., and Indianapolis, Ind.

In introducing her collection, Ms. Albright, reminisced about the origin of her strategically deployed ornaments. "I clearly have always liked jewelry, but it had not occurred to me that they could, in fact, become part of diplomacy. It all began with Saddam Hussein."

As ambassador to the United Nations in 1994, she pressed Mr. Hussein to allow weapons inspections, causing an Iraqi newspaper to label her "an unparalleled serpent." After a meeting on Iraq, "a gaggle of journalists" saw Ms. Albright sporting a menacing gold snake pin. When asked why, she answered, "because Saddam Hussein called me a serpent."
