Watch is nice...but
I purchased this watch for my wife for Christmas. She loved it and was very happy, but within a week the watch face had a nice scratch down the front of it. My wife couldn't think of anything she may have done that might have done it. She called the companies customer service about it, but of course, the crystal is not covered under warranty. She wore a $20 Timex for 3 years and it never got a scratch on it like this. Anyway, we are going to have to take it to a jewellers and get the crystal buffed out or replaced.
very nice watch!
Everything was as expected, including having to find a watch repair shop to shorten the WAY too big band. But I like it alot! The roman numerals dress it up so that while it's not a "dress" watch per-se, it moves from the office to the opera without a second thought. The date thing though, is way too small to be visible so don't count on being able to see it!
A real winner
One of the few women's watches that is not too small, is easy to read, has a second hand and a date window. I have two complaints though. The date window could be a bit bigger, it can be difficult at times to read. And the size adjustment of the bracelet could be better, it is done by removing links only. I would like to see the adjustment at the clasp, with links as the last resort. Other than that, it is a nice clean design that seems to draw favorable comments.
She Really Liked It
This is my 5th Citizen ECO Drive watch purchase. Now everyone in the family has one. The wife was last with this purchase. She really likes it, and it goes from business casual to formal. For a lady, it is thin and elegant without being dainty. The durability of this watch is amazing, as with all eco drive's. Jump in the pool with it, no problem.
Nice looking watch for a good price
As always, Amazon delivered. The watch was for my girlfriend and she loves it. She loved the fact that she will never have to put in a battery, just put it on and forget about it.

Great Gift
I purchased this for myself and love it. The only reservation is that it is a little heavier than watches that I have had in the past.
Nice watch for daily use
Got this watch for my girlfriend for valentine gift. It is very light and suitable for daily use. The cool thing is you don't use battery on this watch. The down side, it's too small. You have to concentrate to look at this watch to see what time it is.
Citizen Women's Eco-Drive
My wife was pleasantly surprised on Christmas which means ...... I was happy. The watch was as advertised and perfect gift for an on-the-go athletic woman like my wife. I was especially happy that the product was in perfect condition.... you never know when you order stuff online and can't inspect it before a purchase. My wife liked the pink face and the fact she never has to buy a battery (we got it sized at a place in the mall).

I'm sure I could have found the watch cheaper but at least Amazon is a reputable site. Up to this point, I've only purchased books online so I'm happy to write that this went well.
Reliable Watch at a good price.
I think when it comes to watches, it doesn't hurt to spend $110 for a good watch that you don't have to replace the battery.
Don't purchase this watch from eWatches/The time zone
This watch was placed on backorder after I placed my order with Amazon merchant known as eWatches/The Time Zone/Fusion Holdings. It took 11 business days to notify me that this watch was not available from them. I then had further problems when I switched to a different "in stock" watch. I would recommend purchasing this watch from Amazon directly or a different merchant.

Shipping error
Odered this watch as a Christmas gift for my wife. When she opened it up there was a totally different watch in the box. She didn't like the one that was in the box...not her style. Checked both the lable on the box and the shipping docs...they both said it was the correct watch - which it wasn't.
Attractive but the small size of the face makes it dated
There are many great things about this watch: look ma, no batteries; good value, easy to read, shows the date in a subtle way. But when I got it, the face looked smaller than I had expected. I had the measurement prior to ordering and compared it to another watch of mine. I think it's a little smaller than the measurement given (or I can't measure in cm), which to me makes it seem more "old-fashioned" than "elegant" as some other reviewers described. I really wanted to like this watch but will be returning it.
Good purchase
Given as a gift, and the recipient has been pleased with it in most every way-keeping correct time, appearance, ease of reading the numerals, second hand,as well as the big plus, no battery. The only thing she would wish to change would be some form of readability in the dark. It has no internal light source nor does it glow. All else is good.
Women's Citizen EcoDrive Watch
This simple looking watch is easy to read and works as described. Not needing batteries is a strong reason to consider this watch, which just requires some exposure to light in order to run. If you care about seeing the date, this one is not for you as the date is too small(my eyesight is good).
This is the best watch I have ever owned
I used to be a Timex watch person. But the cheapness of the straps and the constant demand of replacing batteries grew old and annoying. Then someone told me about ECO drive watches.
This is one of 4 that I own now. I have dressy ones, ones with metal bracelets, but I love this one the most.
The face is easy to read, the leather strap holds up to dousing with water and doesn't dissolve, and the crystal face has not scratched despite being banged into things all the time.
Best of all, no more running out of batteries. No one can go wrong with this watch. My eyes are too old to read the date function, but my watch keeps me on time, all the time. I will never get any other brand of watches any more.

What I expected to get
The watch arrived as I expected after looking at the product online and reading other reviews. It works as an everyday watch and I like the slimmer band.
Great Watch
I was searching for a watch that I could wear to work and on the weekends running around with the family. This Citizen watch was the exactly look I wanted. It is feminine, but too girly. It is very lightweight and looks great. It is only slightly water-proof. According to the manual, it is OK if you are washing your hands and some water is splashed on it, but don't submerge it in water. I am not an avid diver or anything, but it would be nice to know I could jump in a pool without ruining my watch. I love the fact that I don't have to buy batteries.
Great size
This watch is exactly as it appears in the photo, it shines and has no blemishes or scratches in the band. I am a petite woman, very small wrists and small hands and have been looking for a moderately-sized watch. I was hesitant about ordering something I could not try on first, but this watch manages to incorporate an updated and stylish look with a slimmer profile than many other the watches I have considered. It is not at all clunky and is easy to read and comfortable to wear. I haven't experienced any skin pinching or wrist hair grabbing!
Just what she wanted
My wife wanted an everyday watch for Christmas. She showed me some examples of other watches that were similar to this one. I knew I wanted to get her an Eco-Drive so we would never have to change the battery. The quality, fit and finish of this watch were excellent and she wears it almost every day.
Exactly what I had been looking for!
I've been looking for a watch for over a year (I am very picky) and this is exactly what I wanted. The watch is excellently constructed and the solar charge is a wonderful feature. What you see is exactly what you get! I would highly recommend this watch to anyone (and already have).

I'm an idiot
Yes, I am an idiot, but I am the type of idiot who can admit a mistake.

This was the first dive watch I ever bought (a gift for the girlfriend, an avid diver) and I had never heard of a screw-down crown before. It's a watch, right? You pull the stupid thing out to set the time, you push the stupid thing back in when you're done. Turns out the stupid thing was the one doing the pushing and pulling.

The crown didn't come out when I pulled, so I used a tool. It didn't go back in when I pushed, so I used a tool. Naturally it never felt right after that. After a while the entire shaft connected to the crown pulled out. The watch still ran, but after a couple more dives water got in and the thing stopped working. So I posted a 2-star review here and sent the watch back to Citizen with an angry letter.

Eventually the girlfriend became the wife, and I became a diver too (a stipulation of the marriage). This year for Christmas she bought me a gorgeous dive watch. The crown didn't come out when I pulled, but this time I read the instructions. "Screw-down crown"? Oh *eff* me...

Did I mention that I am an idiot?

Despite the flagrant user error and being outside of the one-year warranty, Citizen repaired the watch, good as new, at no charge. I now know that Citizen is a company that you can trust for both quality and customer service.

The watch itself is perfect. Perfect size and perfect look. It's a style in and of itself. I bought my wife another Citizen, a gorgeous dress bracelet with a mother-of-pearl face. Few are the days when one or the other isn't on her wrist. Now I'm starting to lust after a Citizen chronograph for myself...
Good watch
I am not a diver so I cannot comment on how well the watch functions in deep waters. I like the watch because it works well as an exercise watch-- no problems with shocks, and the sweat can be washed out afterwards. The design is cute and the size is perfect. And I love that it is eco-drive so you don't have to worry about replacing batteries.

The band is a little chunkier than I would prefer and the date is a little bit hard to see. But overall, this is a quality watch that I would definitely recommend.
Exactly as shown
Great watch. Owned Eco-Drive's before and this one lives up to its predecessor. Never have to take it off. Sporty and durable.
No more batteries!
The eco drive system idea is just great! You don't have to ever buy another battery again or pay the watch repairman to put in a new battery for you since this watch recharges itself with plain old light.

The eco drive watch keeps great time and looks great. It is on the expensive side, but for a daily "beater" watch that is dependable, you can't go wrong with the citizen eco drive watch.

The only thing I didn't really like too much was the black synthetic band, but you can just swap it out for a better looking one if you want.
Love this watch!
I bought this watch after discovering that I love scuba diving! I have always liked Citizen watches for their quality and reliability. This watch is no exception. It is very stylish, durable, keeps perfect time and is totally green! Just wear it, and under normal use, it will stay charged forever, no batteries to buy every few years, no watch battery dying at just the wrong time. Actually, my husband and I each got one of these watches after his watch died on vacation, in a rather remote location where there were no replacement batteries. Do yourself a favor, if you need a reliable watch that looks great, and keeps even Al Gore happy, buy this watch. Oh, and this is a great price!

What is the least-expensive Citizen Eco-drive or Seiko Kinetic Ladies watch they sell?

aikon56 asks: If you've been to a Costco (US stores only) recently, what is the lowest priced Citizen Eco-persistence or Seiko Kinetic ladies watch they sell?

Please note:
I prefer Costco because of their liberal return policies, I've checked other online sites that tattle on watches and they sure can't beat Costco for the return policy of, well, actually, no time-limit.

I know Costco prices are abase than those found at Macy's or JCPenney, etc. I've checked Amazon $105, no tax, no shipping, but will take a while to arrive. So Costco is the best option so far.

I'm about 30 miles away from the nearest Costco. I can tool along there but would like to make sure they have what I'm looking for. I don't want to drive 30 miles only to find out they don't have it.

I already checked Costco.com and they don't have Citizen Eco-tour or Seiko Kinetic watches on their site for my target price of less than $140.
