...Predictions of heavy rains may lead to flood watches for several days after one was declared Tuesday.
"We'll probably be doing the same thing tomorrow and the next day we did today, declaring a flood watch from about noon to 9 p.m.," John Kyle, data-acquisition program manager at the Grand Junction office of the National Weather Service, said Tuesday night.
Tuesday's flood watch covered an area that included Southwest Colorado from the eastern edge of Archuleta County north almost to Grand Junction and west into south-central Utah up to the Interstate 70 corridor. Northwestern New Mexico was under a flood advisory during the same time period.
"We're still looking at a mostly southerly flow with heavy rains still real possible," Kyle said. "We see a good string of moisture coming through the week, including Saturday, Sunday, Monday, even Tuesday."
The area near Norwood experienced the biggest consequence from Tuesday's rains. Colorado Highway 145 between Norwood and Telluride was closed by a mudslide at about 3 p.m., according to a news release from the Colorado Department of Transportation. San Miguel County spokeswoman Jennifer Dinsmore said rocks and debris about 4 feet high slid onto the road, but no cars were trapped, and no one was injured. The mudslide occurred about three miles east of Norwood.

tangent answers: A good water proof watch as a divers watch has a rubber seal under the back of the watch and they also have a threaded ring. Usually one as it costs several dollars hunred. Similarly, when you want to have changed the battery. You must send in the company who made it, because most jewlers do have the ability to seal up the clock the way it was when you bought it.

Cheech asks: I just came back from China and I bought a couple of fake Rolexs so I can decorate the faces with stones. Just some flat 2mm zirchonias in different colors. How do I remove the glass from the watch so i can get to the face of the watch and what sort of adhesive should I use to place the stones on the face?

thejanith answers: Sometimes when you take the back off (pry it loose with an optical screwdriver or some such tiny instrument) to change the battery, the whole thing comes out and leaves the face exposed. If these are made better than that, you might end up needing to glue the stones around the cases or on the glass itself. Then again, a jeweler may also be able to tell you how to get the glass off more easily if you go at a time when he's not too busy.
As to the glue, my favorite craft glue is the whole "Goop" series. They make Amazing Goop, Shoe Goo, Crafters' Goop, Household Goop, and several other kinds of Goop. Crafters' Goop is available at most crafts stores and discounters (Wal-Mart, Target, etc.) Household or Amazing or Crafters' Goop would work well for this project. It doesn't crack and dry up in a couple of years like the super glues tend to do. If you can't get it at a crafts shop, go to the home repair or hardware section of the bigger stores and look for the adhesives. They'll have some kinds of the Goop glues. It's pretty sticky, so be careful when you're using it. You may need a toothpick to get just enough for the tiny stones. Wash your hands frequently when using these glues. I use them often, and can say they're safe when handled safely.
This is the kind of glue I used when I glued tiny little crystals onto the case of my favorite watch. Folks thought I had an old family heirloom! The glue held quite well, too.
